I am currently a junior at Purdue University studying User Experience Design with minors in psychology and design + innovation.
Throughout my life, my fascination with understanding how things work has been my driving force. This passion led me to pursue engineering at Purdue University, where I developed my problem-solving and design thinking skills. Moreover, I gained valuble real-world experience while working in the field of construction. These experiences not only exposed me to the different aspects of infrastructure design but also provided me with insight into the intersection of principles between UX, architecture, and engineering. It was during these formative experiences that I first saw the potential for design to impact user experiences, both physical and digital. Interested by this intersection, I delved deeper in the world of UX, design thinking, and human-computer interaction. As I reflected on my aspirations and strenghts, I came to realize my true path led to the ever-evolving field of UX.
After transitioning my academic focus to UX design, Purdue provided me with the environment and resources to develop my understanding of UX best practices and apply my skills to real world situations by collaborating with industry partners to solve design challenges with fellow UX students.
Development of my portfolio: Using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Bootstrap, I was able to develop my portfolio over the past year with the help of tools like figma, vscode, github, and canva. I started learning basic markup languages around my sophomore year of college and decided to challenge myself by building my portfolio using these new skills. Like any design or product, this site is in a constant state of improvement, and I intend to keep iterating on it in order to best showcase my UX design journey. View more about my portfolio here.
